Established in 1913, Booker T. Washington High School, BTW, has been Tulsa Public Schools comprehensive magnet school since 1973. Our vision is to be recognised as the leading sports science institution for academic, clinical and research help achieve this we constructed a $4 million, 900sqm sports science facility, which contains labs for biomechanics, exercise physiology, conditioning and rehabilitation. The facility also houses a performance lab complete with a 50m running track, a 14m by 4m screen for projecting life-size simulations and biomechanical imaging, plus a thermal chamber that can raise the temperature to above 55 degrees Celsius.
